The Cross Do you remember the cross and how it came to be, that God’s only son Jesus died on Calvary? The stripes they put upon His back, were not made of clothes.
But scars from strikes that day were awful painful blows. He wore upon His head a crown not made of gold. For His was made of thorns, with cuts the blood just rolled. The robe was purple in color, gorgeous in every way. The soldiers mocked and spit on Him, oh what a price to pay.
With nails in His hands and feet hanging from that tree. We were on His mind that day, He died for you and me.....
