A Christmas Blessing

As I shopped and went from here to there
shopping for a gift to let you know that I care. I
looked and I looked but I couldn't find, just the right
gift that I had in mind.  I wanted a gift to show you
love, like the blessing God sent from up above.
Something with meaning that's what Christmas
brings, a Savior from heaven where angels sing.
I came to realize I'd never find, such a beautiful gift of
that kind. I asked my Lord what should I do, the
greatest Christmas gift Jesus, is you.

A Christmas Blessing is what I should pray,
for goodness and mercy to follow you each day.
And for peace, joy and happiness with Christmas cheer,
to take you through the coming year. Last but not least,
and most of all, you'll be healthy and on you His favor
will fall. It's better to give than to receive, so I'm giving
you a Blessing this Christmas Eve.
